If craft and tradition go hand-in-hand, then there certainly were some splendid examples of American Indian crafts at the 63rd Annual Chicago Pow Wow this month. The whole event was just something that I will never forget (one more thing to cross off my unintentional bucket list) but the costumes with their intricate beadwork, colors and flare were by far the most outstanding feature.
Although I was concentrating more on the portrait side of things that day, I thought these shots would fit the bill for Jennifer Nichole Wells’ One Word Photo Challenge this week, the subject being Craft. I hope to share more of these images in the coming weeks.
