Krista Stevens at The Daily Post has chose pedestrian as the subject for the Weekly Photo Challenge. Note to self; must take more ‘people’ pictures! I have to confess that when I take pictures, especially scenic shots, I’m usually waiting impatiently for people to ‘get out of the blessed way.’ However, I couldn’t resist capturing this image of a group of pedestrians crossing the street in Chinatown, Chicago.

Like the mother and child there 🙂
Thanks, Indira! It just looked so cute. And a lucky shot. If she’d been coming the other way towards me I would never have spotted the baby.
So cute!

I love the picture and your note to self which resonates a lot for me. I too always wait, at times seemingly forever for people to ‘get out of the way’. I am so glad you could not resist taking this photo. 🙂
Thank you! Waiting for the place to clear out is a difficult habit to break but from now on I’m going to click away and weed through the images later. After all, it’s so easy to do now, with digital photography. Not like the old days where you had to make every picture count if you didn’t want to spend a fortune on film and developing. Hope to have more ‘people’ pics in future.
