The topic for Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge this week is Sculptures, Statues and Carvings and this gives me the perfect opportunity to share some of the pictures that I took at The Cathedral of Saint Paul in Saint Paul, Minnesota, recently. Beautiful pieces of artwork to be seen both outside and inside the building.

Fantastic detail
Thanks, Diana! Sometimes I think the details show up better with b/w.
Wonderful stone carvings fo this week. The detail is wonderful. 😀
Thanks, Cee! And thanks for giving me the opportunity to share some of the aspects of this impressive building.
Very artistic structures captured, Sue!
Thanks, Indira! Not that I’m in any way religious but I really miss visiting the old churches back home. This one in St. Paul was beautiful but just didn’t have the same atmosphere inside.
My sister lives in Minneapolis, so I’ve seen this cathedral many times. You’ve captured it very well.
Thanks, Chris! I hope to post some more pictures of the inside sometime soon.
These are beautiful photos. The black-and-white brings out the details
Thank you! I agree. Looking at the original shots and these, side by side, the b/w definitely came out on top.
