This week, Tina at Travels and Trifles has selected Doors and Doorways as the subject for the Lens-Artists Photo Challenge. I seem to have exhausted my supply of doors with Norm’s Thursday Doors challenge but I did find some open doorways in the Minnesota photo files, the first two taken in the State Capitol Building in St. Paul and the third in the Cathedral of St. Paul.

Really interesting photos!
Thank you, Liz!
All three are nice but that first one is awesome. I need to get to the capitol someday and spend some shooting inside of it.
Thanks, Steve! The Capitol Building is really splendid and well worth a few hours exploration. Sometimes it’s all too easy to get caught up in the overall picture but, if you take the time, you will discover all kinds of details and perspectives.
Love that opening shot Sue…the black railing against the white background and the arch. Very nice capture.
Thanks, Andy! I think out of the three shots, that one is my favorite.
Classy doorways!!
Thanks, Indira! One of the great things about these photo challenges is that it gives me a chance to take a closer look at the pictures that I take. Sometimes I don’t even realize what I’ve got until I start going through all the images to look for something in particular.
Lovely shots, Sue. I love the geometry in the first shot.
Thank you, Patti!
Most excellent!
Thank you so much!
