Cee’s current Black & White Photo Challenge calls for images of indoor walkways, hallways or elevators, any of which I have rarely taken pictures, at least few that translate well into b/w.
So once again, I had to do an in-depth search of the photo files to come up with something suitable for this topic. The stairway shown above can be found at the Dole Mansion in Crystal Lake. Pictured below, a walkway inside the historic Union Station in St. Louis.
I don’t know if this walkway can be considered indoors. An old picture of the tunnel leading from a parking garage on Monroe in Chicago, was panned by the judges at our camera club for being out of focus and of no interest. I know its faults. It was taken in the early days of my interest in photography when I took pictures of everything without regard to lighting or focus and I admit it was pretty awful. But when it came to tossing it out, I couldn’t bear to part with it. I liked it!

Those stairs are so cool in your first photo. Wonderful grouping of ways for this week’s challenge. 😀
Thanks, Cee!
Hi Sue. I like the stairs and the fellow in the cowboy hat in Chicago. 🙂 Who says that’s not interesting??
Thanks, Patricia! I agree, that’s not something you see every day in Chicago.
Very true. In Oklahoma, yes. But in Chicago, no!
