This week, Cee is looking for outdoor ways to move up and down for her Black & White Photo Challenge. Here are a few of the more unconventional methods including maintenance platforms hanging from Marina Towers in downtown Chicago, a maintenance lift at the mall in Mount Prospect, the Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier in Chicago and grandson bungee jumping at the Renaissance Faire.
Oh what remarkable photos you have for us this week. Marvelous photography 😀
Thanks so much, Cee!
Striking images, Sue.
Thanks, Tom! It will be good to be able to get out and capture some fresh images, hopefully in a month or two.
I love the pic of the Ferris wheel
Thanks, Chris! I sometimes wonder if I’ll ever get to see this sight or anything else in Chicago again. However, I’m looking forward to resuming my travels in Wisconsin when things get back to semi-normal.
I was fascinated by the shapes in your first photo of the Marina Towers, and also the ferris wheel – seen plenty of ferris photos and it’s a bit surprising how much I like this but you’ve managed to get a great angle on it and b&w seems to work incredibly well here. Thanks, I feel like I’ve learned something useful from looking at these Sue. Awesome!
Thanks so much, Liz! It always gives me the shivers when I see cars parked so close to the rails high up on Marina Towers. I can never resist taking pictures of this iconic building. And the Ferris Wheel is amazing, both the view from ground level and the one you get when you ride to the top.
I love the perspective on the ferris wheel.
Thank you! I was a little nervous about taking a ride on the Wheel but the view from the top was well worth it.
I hear you! Getting on these rides is more than half the battle.
Hi Sue, how are you doing?
Hi Miriam! I’m doing fine, thanks. I hope you are well and staying safe.
I thought you hosts the photo challenge today.
May be you host it another week. I’m just wondering.
Yes, Miriam, I am hosting this week. Here is the link. https://sfkfsfcfef.wordpress.com/2020/05/16/lens-artists-photo-challenge-97-pastimes/
