With limited travel and photo opportunities, it’s been quite a challenge to come up with recent pictures rather than dipping too far back into the photo archives, but here are a few shots, taken in the past few weeks, that I thought would fit in with Cee’s theme of Dark Red for her Fun Foto Challenge.
The last of the roses at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
The barn at Volkening Heritage Farm in Schaumburg.
Two places of interest in the historic shopping district of Long Grove.
And lastly, a leftover guest from our Family Fall Festival.
Lovely reds, that skeleton made me 😂
Thanks, Teresa! The skeleton was part of a display that our daughter puts on for our annual Family Fall Festival. She did another fantastic job this year although unfortunately, because of the virus, only a few of us were able to be there for the celebrations.
That’s very artistic of her and hopefully next year you’ll be able to celebrate it again!
Love that ‘Long Grove Coffee Co…of course with donuts 🙂
Thanks, Indira! It looks very inviting doesn’t it. It will probably be a while before I have a chance to sample their delights as all unnecessary trips have been cancelled. Things are getting so bad in Illinois now with the virus that we have all been asked to voluntarily stay at home whenever possible for the next three weeks.
I always look forward to your entry into my challenges. Wonderful dark reds 😀
Thanks so much, Cee!

I hope you are having a wonderful week.
Thank you so much, Cee!
Beautiful pics! 👏
Thank you! And thanks for stopping by.
That barn with the shadow on it is very cool!
Thank you! I’m glad you liked the barn image. It was the only shot that I managed to take with my new phone camera. After that, the camera refused to work so I’m hoping to try it out again whenever I get another opportunity to get out and about.
I hope it works without a hitch for you next time.
